Well, it has to be a joke, because even though I don’t think all that highly of No Doubt, I think they have more talent than to release 12 songs that are techno beats with the same chorus sung over and over and over and over AND OVER again until your eardrums liquefy. If it’s not a fake, may the band get struck by a train and/or flying goat and/or lethal asparagus. Ahhh, such is fun when you try to get something for free.
On the other hand, I have been quite enjoying my pre-releases of just about every other cd scheduled to hit the shelves in the next month. Hell, didn’t the new Rob Zombie disc come out today or something? It sucks when you’re already sick of something that hasn’t come out yet. OH WHAT A SAD LIFE I LIVE.
Umm, yeah, so I have nothing to say about the new No Doubt disc until it actually comes out, so it seems. But allow me to be pissy that Madonna only has two songs from Ray of Light on her GHV2 disc and no brand-new songs. Fuck, dude, at least Justify My Love was a reason to buy Immaculate Collection back in the day. First she took $1500 from my best friend for the privilege of us seeing her in concert, now she’s pawning a greatest hits disc on us with no incentive to buy except for NEW PICTURES INSIDE. Unless it’s her Sex book part 2, who the fuck cares.
